Aid for participation in scientific events

(Rules valid from 10/01/2022 to 03/31/2023)

The Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering at Escola Politécnica (PPGEE) has resources from the CAPES-PROEX Program and assists in the participation of regular students (scholarship holders or not) and accredited professors of the Graduate Program in national or international scientific events. international. The work must necessarily have the co-authorship of the accredited Professor with his oriented to present the results of his research project at PPGEE. The student can request assistance for the payment of the Registration Fee, airfare and per diems.

The total amount of aid is limited to R$15,000.00 for international events and R$5,000.00 for national events. If the cost of participating in the congress exceeds these amounts, the student must look for other sources to pay the excess amount. Acceptance of the grant implies the obligation to participate in the Congress and present the work that has been approved. The requirements and conditions for obtaining aid are:

• Be a student regularly enrolled in PPGEE and the article must be co-authored
  with a professor (your advisor) accredited by PPGEE.
• It is necessary that the event abroad be of an international character, that is, not
  it can be an event held abroad, but with a local character;
• Students as well as faculty will be entitled to request only one (1) aid
  for participation in an event per year, and the “full paper” must be published
  in the Congressional Proceedings.
• The PPGEE will only financially support one person per article, that is, it will support or
  student or teacher

The applicant must provide an Invoice/Receipt with the following information in order to receive a REFUND of the application fee and airline tickets.

In the case of air tickets, the applicant must include 3 quotes and adopt the cheapest one for the purchase. The budget can be a “print-screen” of the computer screen or of tourist agencies.
